Cyprus, Greece and Egypt diaspora authorities decide on virtual events to strengthen tripartite cooperation, CNA - CYPRUS/Nicosia 18/07/2020
The diaspora authorities in Cyprus, Greece and Egypt have decided to hold a number of virtual events in order to further strengthen their tripartite cooperation, since the pandemic led to the postponement of a series of events planned with physical presence.
The authorities of the countries hold a video conference on Friday, with the participation of the medical community from the diaspora, to discuss issues related to the treatment of the pandemic.
A press release issued by the office of the Cyprus Presidential Commissioner for Humanitarian Issues and Overseas Cypriots says that these events aim at bringing together doctors and academics from the diaspora of the three countries to discuss the National Health Systems, exchange expertise and good practices and find ways to further cooperate and collaborate.
Cyprus Presidential Commissioner Photis Photiou, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, in charge of Diaspora Affairs, Costas Vlasis and Egypt Minister of Immigration Nabila Makram participated in the video conference.
