Presidential Commissioner and CING in virtual meeting with diaspora leaders CNA - CYPRUS/Nicosia 21/05/2021

Presidential Commissioner Photis Photiou, heads of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics and diaspora leaders held a virtual meeting on Thursday, in the framework of a cooperation agreement they signed recently, which provides for the collaboration in various matters.

Commissioner described the Institute as a "gem" for Cyprus and the region and referred to its important work in all sectors and its contribution to the missing persons` issue.

Chief Executive/Medical Director of CING Leonidas Phylactou presented the work of the Institute, the post-graduate programs and all research and academic activities and expressed his confidence that the cooperation with the Commissioner and the diaspora will be further enhanced.

The Commissioner pointed out that the diaspora youth could make use of the programs the CING offers and to further support it.

Heads of POMAK, PSEKA and NEPOMAK made interventions during the videoconference and expressed their will to further cooperate with the Institute.

CING Board of Directors Head Ioannis Matsis said that the cooperation and support by the diaspora is important.
