Trilateral Conference on Diaspora Issues between Cyprus, Egypt and Greece to be held on 19 December, CNA - Nikos Katsikas - Egypt/Cairo 15/12/2019
Secretary General for Greeks Abroad John Chrysoulakis, said he was very pleased for the upcoming Trilateral Conference on Diaspora Issues, between Cyprus, Greece and Egypt, to be held in Athens on December 19.
Chrysoulakis was speaking during a meeting in Athens with the President of the Greek Community of Alexandria, Edmond Kasimatos. The Greek official said that during the trilateral conference in Athens, they will sign a Memorandum of Cooperation. He further stressed the special ties between the two countries.
The Tripartite Conference will be attended by Greece’s new Deputy Foreign Minister for Greeks abroad, Costas Vlasis, Egypt`s Minister of Emigration and Expatriate Affairs Nabila Makram and Cyprus’ Presidential Commissioner Photis Photiou.
During their meeting, Chrysoulakis and Kasimatis discussed issues concerning the Greeks in Egypt and promised that "they will be addressed and resolved in every way possible”.
