In accordance with the legislation in force, the President of the Republic supervises any issues concerning missing persons as well as the issues of the enclaved persons and remains vigilant for the proper and effective management of these issues by the "competent services". "Competent Services" according to the same laws means the Service for Missing Persons and the Service for Humanitarian Affairs, as well as any other service dealing with issues of the Missing and the Enclaved.
