The Service identifies the problems face by the Enclaved and works to resolve them, in cooperation with other State services and agencies.
To this end, the Service is in continuous contact with the Enclaved as well as with UNFICYP, organising visits by Service Officers to the occupied villages.
In cases when Enclaved persons wish to visit the Government controlled areas, the Service, in cooperation with the other competent departments and services, provides them with every possible assistance and help.
In practice, due to the existing difficult conditions, the Service is required to develop a wide range of activities in order to be able to respond to its mission, which is shaped by the daily consideration of the issues and the problems face by the Enclaved.
The Service is also involved, in cooperation with UNFICYP, the Department of Social Welfare Services, the State Warehouses, the Police and other services, in dealing with a number of other issues and problems, arising out and as a result of the continuous Turkish occupation.
In collaboration with the Health Visitors of the Ministry of Health and the Cyprus Red Cross, the Enclaved are provided with all assistance during their visits to the State Hospitals, as well as for the annual medical check-ups for the students of Rizokarpaso.
