Being aware that the education provided is a key factor in the continuation and preservation of the particular culture of each religious group, the Presidential Commissioner, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport and Youth, ensures the proper functioning of their schools.
To this end, the Presidential Commissioner visits schools attended by children from all religious groups (St. Maron’s school, NAREK Primary School and NAREK Secondary School, TERRA SANTA and St. Mary's School) and learns of various issues they face. On-site visits provide direct meetings with school staff and students, with the aim of gathering information to support the needs of each school in the most effective way. As a result of the above visits are the following:
- Supporting the request for a series of training seminars for teachers at NAREK and TERRA SANTA schools.
- Supporting, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Culture, of TERRA SANTA's educational work through its official collaboration with the University of Cyprus, as well as its multicultural nature with the support of the Cyprus Institute of Education.
- Transfer of pupils by school buses to St. Maron Primary School.
